Why Bellows Air Duct & Vent Co. Is North Palm Beach’s Preferred Air Quality & Sanitizing Company
We’ve been serving this stretch of Palm Beach County for over 14 years, and North Palm Beach has always been a core part of our route. Homeowners here know us because we show up when we say we will, we wear a uniform, and we don’t leave until the job is done right - backed in writing for 90 days.
Our reviews from North Palm Beach customers consistently mention the camera inspection. They like seeing the before-and-after footage of their own ducts, not taking our word for it. That’s the difference between a company that’s been around since 2012 and a fly-by-night outfit chasing coupons.
Response time to North Palm Beach is typically same-day for calls placed before noon, and next-morning for afternoon requests. We keep parts and equipment stocked for the older systems common in this area, so most jobs finish in a single visit.
We understand the local housing stock. The slab-on-grade homes near the Intracoastal, the canal-front properties off Prosperity Farms Road, the original ductwork in the 33408 neighborhoods - we’ve worked on all of it. That local knowledge means we diagnose faster and fix it right the first time.
Our Air Quality & Sanitizing Services in North Palm Beach
Mold Treatment
Mold colonization inside 1960s attic ductwork is one of the most common problems we find in North Palm Beach. With HVAC systems running 10-12 months a year, condensation never fully dries, and the salt-laden humidity from both the Atlantic and Intracoastal creates perfect conditions for spore growth. We use Abatement Technologies HEPA containment and professional-grade antimicrobial application, with camera verification before and after. A typical whole-system mold treatment in North Palm Beach runs $450-$850 depending on duct linear footage and severity.
Bacteria Sanitizing
Bacteria buildup in older duct systems can circulate odors and irritants every time the blower cycles. In North Palm Beach’s perpetual cooling season, that’s nearly constant exposure. Our bacteria sanitizing service uses EPA-registered disinfectants applied through pressurized fogging equipment, reaching every branch of your duct network. We focus on the main trunk lines and return plenums where microbial colonies concentrate in these older homes.
Odor Removal
That persistent musty smell in North Palm Beach homes isn’t just “old house smell” - it’s usually decomposing organic matter in the ducts, degraded flex duct liner, or mold metabolites trapped in the system. We source-track the odor, treat the affected components, and verify elimination with post-treatment inspection. For canal-front homes where salt-air corrosion has compromised duct seals, we also identify and seal the entry points that let attic air and moisture into the system.
UV Light Installation
UV light installation is one of the most effective long-term solutions for North Palm Beach’s chronic moisture problem. We install Aprilaire and Honeywell UV-C lamps in the main plenum or air handler, where they continuously inhibit mold and bacterial growth on the coil and in the airstream. A typical UV light installation in North Palm Beach runs $380-$650 including the lamp, mounting, and electrical connection. The bulbs require annual replacement, and we stock them locally for 33408 customers.

Trusted Brands We Service in North Palm Beach
We specify professional-grade equipment from Rotobrush, Nikro, and Abatement Technologies - the same brands serious HVAC contractors use, not rental-grade machines. For air purification and UV systems, we install Aprilaire and Honeywell products with local warranty support. We keep common filters, UV bulbs, and sanitizing agents in stock for North Palm Beach customers, so you’re not waiting on a parts order when your system needs attention. Fast turnaround matters when you’re running cooling almost year-round.
Common Air Quality & Sanitizing Problems We See in North Palm Beach Homes
- Mold colonization inside 1960s attic ductwork from perpetual condensation in North Palm Beach’s 10-12 month HVAC runtime. The original fiberboard or early flex duct in these homes acts like a sponge, and once mold establishes, it spreads through the entire system.
- Accelerated corrosion of metal duct fittings and sealant degradation due to dual-direction airborne chlorides from the Atlantic and Intracoastal. No other Palm Beach County location faces salt exposure from two sides simultaneously, and it shows in the condition of the metal components.
- Collapsed or separated flex duct inner liners on canal-front streets from moisture-expansion cycling in attics. We see this failure pattern constantly on the older canal-front streets off Prosperity Farms Road - far less common just a few miles inland in Palm Beach Gardens.
- Persistent musty odors that return after standard cleaning because the source is degraded duct liner material itself, not just surface contamination. In these cases, partial duct replacement combined with sanitizing is the only lasting fix.

FAQs - Air Quality & Sanitizing in North Palm Beach
The canal-front streets off Prosperity Farms Road experience a unique failure pattern: flex duct inner liners collapse and separate at joints due to moisture-expansion cycling from afternoon attic heat and salt-laden Intracoastal humidity. This creates gaps where mold and bacteria colonize, and where attic air pulls into the system. Homes here typically need sanitizing every 18-24 months versus 3-4 years for inland properties. Call (844) 685-6342 for a camera inspection - estimates are free.
Yes, a properly installed UV-C lamp in the main plenum or air handler will eliminate the biological source of musty odors by inhibiting mold and bacterial growth on the coil and in the airstream. In 1960s North Palm Beach slab homes with original ductwork, we typically pair UV installation with a full sanitizing treatment to address existing contamination, then the UV maintains the results. Most homeowners notice odor reduction within 48-72 hours. Call (844) 685-6342 for exact pricing on your system.
Sanitize if the duct structure is intact; replace sections if liners are delaminated or collapsed. We serviced a 1960s slab home on Shore Drive where the original flex duct liners had delaminated from constant salt-air cycling. After installing a Rotobrush HEPA vacuum and an Aprilaire UV light in the main trunk, the homeowners reported their persistent musty odor vanished and allergy symptoms eased within a week. Camera inspection reveals which path is right for your home - call for a free look.
We install Aprilaire and Honeywell whole-house air purifiers, with media filters and electronic options depending on your HVAC configuration. Both brands have strong local parts availability in Palm Beach County, so filter replacements and warranty service are straightforward. A typical whole-house air purifier installation in North Palm Beach runs $520-$940. Call (844) 685-6342 to discuss which system fits your home.
Our 90-Day Done Right Promise covers all work including odor removal, with no paperwork required if you need us back. Canal-front homes in North Palm Beach sometimes have odor sources beyond the ducts - degraded liner material, corroded plenum seams, or moisture intrusion from failed attic seals. We identify these during camera inspection and address them upfront. If the odor returns due to our work, we return at no charge. That’s the guarantee stamped on every job.
