Common Questions

Do I need experience in HVAC or air duct cleaning?

No. We’ve built our training program for owners coming from outside the trade. What matters more is that you’ve managed people, handled a P&L, and understand what it means to stand behind your word. We teach the technical side, from Rotobrush and Nikro equipment operation to reading camera inspection footage. We’ve had successful owners who came from retail management, military service, and commercial real estate. The common thread: they don’t cut corners, and they answer their phone.

What is the total investment range?

Most franchisees invest between $125,000 and $185,000 to open, depending on territory size, vehicle setup, and whether you lease or purchase your initial equipment package. That covers your franchise fee, professional-grade cleaning systems from Abatement Technologies and Honeywell, branded vehicle wrap, initial marketing, and working capital for your first three months. We disclose every line item in our Franchise Disclosure Document. No surprises on the bill, just like we tell every homeowner.

Is financing available?

Yes. We maintain relationships with third-party lenders who understand our model, and many of our franchisees have used SBA-backed loans or equipment financing to cover a portion of their investment. We don’t finance in-house, but we’ll introduce you to the people who’ve funded our last dozen openings. Every situation is different, so we encourage you to review options with your own financial advisor.

How large is my territory, and is it exclusive?

We grant protected territories based on population density and household count, not arbitrary map lines. A typical territory covers 150,000 to 300,000 residents, which we’ve found supports a two-to-three truck operation comfortably in year one with room to grow. Your territory is exclusive to you. We don’t sell overlapping boundaries, and we don’t compete with our own people. That’s not the Keystone way.

How long is the training program?

Three weeks total. Two weeks at our headquarters covering technical operations, the K.E.Y.S. values code, camera inspection protocols, and our upfront pricing system. One week in an operating territory, riding with a veteran owner, watching how the 90-Day Done Right Promise works in practice, not just on paper. Training is included in your franchise fee. We don’t charge extra for teaching you to do it right.

What ongoing fees or royalties will I pay?

Franchisees pay a monthly royalty based on gross revenue, which funds continued training, national supplier negotiations, and the systems that keep your back office running. There’s also a modest marketing fund contribution that supports brand-level advertising and lead generation tools. Exact percentages are outlined in our Franchise Disclosure Document. We don’t hide these numbers behind a phone call.

How long does it take to open?

Most franchisees open their doors four to six months from signing. The variables are financing timeline, vehicle buildout, and your own availability for training. We’ve had motivated owners do it in twelve weeks. We’ve also seen people take eight months because they were wrapping up a previous commitment. We don’t rush you, and we don’t drag our feet. We’ll be there when we say.

What support do you provide after I’m open?

A live person answers your call, 24 hours a day, just like we promise homeowners. Our field support team visits your territory quarterly in year one, then semi-annually as you mature. You get access to our proprietary scheduling and pricing platform, vendor relationships with Rotobrush, Nikro, Aprilaire, and others at fleet rates, and a private owner network where twelve-year veterans share job photos and advice with first-year operators. The 90-Day Done Right Promise applies to how we treat you, too. If something’s not right, we make it right. No paperwork, no arguing.

What does the ideal Bellows owner look like?

Someone who wants to be known in their community as the person who does what they say. Our best owners are steady, not flashy. They hire local, sponsor the county fair and the church roof fund, and plan to be in town thirty years from now. They understand that a $49 bait coupon isn’t a square deal, and they wouldn’t offer one any more than they’d accept one. They like the smell of a job done right and the sound of a customer who says, “I don’t have to think about it again.”

What’s my next step?

Call our franchise development line at (844) 685-6342. You’ll speak with a live person, not a voicemail tree, and we’ll send you our Franchise Disclosure Document to review. If it feels like a fit on both sides, we’ll schedule a discovery day at headquarters where you meet Ray, watch a camera inspection start to finish, and decide if this is the kind of company you want to build in your town. No pressure, no bait-and-switch. Just an honest conversation about whether we’re right for each other.

Still Have Questions?

We’re named for the oldest air-moving tool there is because we believe some things don’t need reinventing. Honest work, a fair price, and standing behind what you do, those hold up. If you’re ready to build something that lasts in your community, call (844) 685-6342 or fill out the form below. A live person will answer, and we’ll talk it through.
