Get in first, do the work properly, and the territory becomes an asset that appreciates with every satisfied customer.

How Territories Work
A Bellows territory is a defined geographic area, typically centered on a metropolitan or micropolitan statistical area with sufficient owner-occupied housing to support a full-time operation. When you sign, that boundary is yours exclusively. We don’t sell overlapping territories, and we don’t open corporate locations inside franchisee markets. The protection is real, and it’s in writing.
Territory size depends on population density and housing age. A Dallas-Fort Worth territory covers less square mileage than a Colorado Front Range territory because the customer concentration differs. We calculate this with census data, HVAC permit records, and our own experience from eight operating states. You get enough geography to grow, not so much that you can’t serve it properly.
Reservation works simply. You submit an inquiry, we review your background and financial qualification, and if it’s a fit, we hold your preferred market for a defined due-diligence period while you speak with existing operators, review our Franchise Disclosure Document, and visit our training facility. No deposit is required to hold a territory during qualification. Once you commit, we remove that market from availability and begin your onboarding.
We’re particular about who wears the uniform. Background checks aren’t just for technicians; we run them on prospective owners too. The Bellows name was built over 42 years, named for the oldest air-moving tool there is, and we don’t lend it to someone who treats this like a passive investment. This is a hands-on business. You or a designated operating partner must complete our training and be present in the territory.
Most of our franchisees start with one van and one technician, including themselves. The model scales to multiple crews, but we don’t require growth for growth’s sake. Some of our best operators run two vans after fifteen years and turn away work rather than compromise the standard. That’s the Keystone way.
